Report:
Short mid-day trip today. Looked at Cliffwood Beach. Wind coming in, moved on w/o wetting a line. Walked the trail to PB, arriving about 2-1/2 hours after high tide. Good spot when there is an E wind because the setting sun is in your eyes. Wading out onto the sandbar, at the mouth of the creek, I started throwing a Gator spoon. There were not hits on every cast, and the hits came way out. Eventually I landed 7 bluefish, and lost others, some after being hooked for only a few seconds, and others after a long fight. Size ranged from 17" to 27", fork length.
