Report:
Weather forcast must have scared off allot of people as there was only a total of 13 fares. For a while I was thinking that the boat wouldn't even sail as Jason, Mark (Jason's friend) & I were the only ones there up until 30 minutes before departure time.
Had good conditions to start with a west wind and 3 hours of outgoing tide. We joined a small fleet mid bay and deployed out baits. Action was painfully slow. Made a wiggle or 2 but it didn't help. Sailed east and joined another small fleet off of Port Monmouth. Jason caught a short bass very quickly & I thought we might get something going. No dice.
A boat total of 3 bluefish, Jason's short bass and a barely keeper sized bass was it. Jason also had a gorilla blue bite him off at the boat. I had one small tap all trip & Jason's friend Mark also saw no action. The way the party boat fleet was moving around I don't think anyone did very well.
