Report:
Fished the Striper Tournament Saturday with Jimmy Tarabaccia. Snagged some bunker in Great Kills and headed for the Hoffman Island area. One runoff and pretty quiet. Ran over the Romer Shoal and another run off with no results. The guy next to us was catching Blues. Headed over near Old Orchard and the bite was much better late in the afternoon. Jimmy ended up with one 34 inch Striper and me a large Blue. We were using full live bunker. It seemed that the good runoffs were smaller fish that could not take the whole bunker.
