  • Fished on 6/28/2008

    Water Temperature: .
    Water Clarity: Fair
Seas: Wind chop early, glassy after the t-storm
Weather: Brisk SW wind 20-25 early. T-storm rolled through and lowered the humidity and very pleasant afterward.
    Fishing_for: Fluke
    Boat: Misty Morn
    captain: Phil Bouchard

    Report:
Fished the same area as the week before & the fluke were still there. Must have been ladies night as the females (ages 8-50) caught the majority of the bigger fish. Most of the big fluke (up to the pool winning #6) were taken with a pink GULP and some sort of bait. 24 fares put @20 keepers on ice with 8 between #4-6. Only 1 keeper before the t-storm came through. Afterward there was a good bite for about an hour than it dropped to a pick. Fish were concentrated in one small pocket. Fish didn't seem to be aggressively feeding as bait out produced bucktailing. I did manage to eek out 1 keeper (the only 1 between Jason & myself). Combined we put about 12-15 shorts in the boat. Plenty of peanut bunker in Morgan Creek. Also saw a nice size pod of adult bunker in the bay. Watched this pod for 45 minutes without seeing any blowups.
