Hi folks
I had the pleasure of my wife Anita fishing with me this trip. After catching a tank full of mullet we headed to the 2 mile reef off from Little River. Several other boats fishing as well. Lots of baitfish with bluefish crashing'em on top. Caught several in the 2-4 range plus lots of cut lines. Decided to head back inshore looking for reds in the surf and just beyond. Started drifting in 20 ft of water and had the first bite quickly. After a long fight we finally saw the fish that was giving us the great pull. A 3ft. shark! I thought it was a mistake but within a few minutes another one took off with our mullet. Ended up with 6 nice size sharks to the boatside. The last one Anita fought for a long, long time without ever seeing it. Alot of fun on our light tackle...Finished the day with 2 whiting, several blues and the sharks. Not the gamefish we were looking for but we had a blast. The new Suzuki 4-stroke ran perfectly and the Mckee is one awesome boat. A great rig for inshore or off......
