    Report:
The day prior to our trip, the entire boat caught (6) keepers, which didn't give us much confidence. However, at least a third of the onboard anglers caught legal fluke today as we fished offshore of the Red Brick Church. The most productive anglers used a SPRO bucktail on the bottom and a B4 white squid a foot higher up the line. On both the bucktail and the B4 squid, these anglers loaded them up with several strips of squid, spearing, and sand eels. Each angler must have had almost 3 pounds of bait on their hooks. The pool winning fluke weighed 8 pounds 13 ounces which is the same day of the trip. Coincidence???? Neither my fishing partner nor I caught any large fluke as we did last week, but we did toss several 19-20 inch fluke into the cooler. The other piece of good luck was that I didn't lose any sinkers to the snags in the area, but I did manage to boat several quality seabass, which the angler next to me gladly took as he did not catch any legal fluke. The fishing wasn't great, but it was far better than yesterday.
