    Report:
After fishing the river this morning, I'd venture an educated guess that the fall migration of upper Barnegat fluke through the river to the inlet is...ON. Of the various shorts and legal fluke we boated, 8 out 10 had mud on the their bellies, and were all caught from the Rt#35 bridge to the canal. No matter if we used chartreuse Gulp minnows, hot pink minnows, or Gulp penny shrimp, all were productive especially on the edges of the main channel. All of our legal fluke were of the 20 inch variety. If you fish the river, and want to help fill the freezer for the winter, now is the time to hit the river before all of the fluke exit the inlet.
