    Report:
Our first stop this morning, during no wind/no drift conditions, occurred at 8:30 off the Red Brick Church. Even though there were 50+ onboard anglers, the first legal fluke came over the rail at 10AM. The second legal fluke was boated at 11AM. To say that the fluke fishing was slow for legal fish is an understatement. All lines went straight down. After the church, the captain headed to the Shrewsbury Rocks where the catching was somewhat better. There was probably 12-15 legal fluke caught on the entire boat with the high hook boxing 5 fluke up to five pounds. He also won a sizeable pool. I "think" what has to happen is a few cold nights to move the fluke out of the twin rivers, out from Raritan Bay/Sandy Hook Bay, and into the ocean. I say this because not many big fluke were caught today, and the pool winner yesterday on this boat was a mere 3.5 pounds. A five pounder was caught yesterday, but he was not in the pool. I think it's time to return to the Manasquan river where the fall run is ....on.
