Report:
Beautiful day to be on the water. Unfortunately, fishing did not match weather conditions. Fished Buoy 14 up to buoy 8. Able to drift along channel banks in AM (39-42 ft). No large concentrations of fluke found. Best area were dropoff's around buoy 14 & 12. Three people landed a total of 18 fluke,1 blue fish & plenty of sea robbins. Only three of the fluke were legal. One fluke was caught on 3oz white chrome ball jig sweetened with a smelt. Rest of fluke were caught using squid / killy, squid / smelt combos. Wind against tide conditions in PM only caught one throwback fluke. The boat that launched before us fished the Ambose Channel area and ended up with only three keepers. I guess we did do that bad. I hope we will catchem before the season ends.
