    Report:
Not too much to say about today's fishing other than we caught one 30 lb. bluefin and one mahimahi. The tight chop made fishing a bit uncomfortable but it laid out later. We read bait and fish in three spots and after passing over some marks in 100 feet, the left flat line with a cedar plug went off. We boated that fish and filled our quota with it. The pressure was on to catch another one above the slot limit. It never happened for us. Only one other fish came up and missed a long balao with an Ilander. Reports were mixed from all of our friends and others. The most I heard of was five tuna boated and released. Others went 2 for 4, others would have been happy to catch one. We did catch one small mahi blindly on the troll. We trolled for hours and only read bait and fish a few times. When I cleaned the tuna, it was stuffed with sandeels! The water was only 68 and there was no life where we were. Much of the fishing lately has been done on the higher bottom pieces where the bait seems to concentrate. I was happy with the one we caught today on a slow day.
