Report:
Back down with my dad for just for the day hoping to duplicate last weeks trip. We started trolling the ICW at 7:00AM. Picked up 2 right off the bat and thought we were well on our way. Wrong. We trolled the whole rising tide at several different places until about 2:00PM and had 4 in the cooler. Then we found a hole (Thanks to Wayne again!!) and it was on!! We caught 16 more trout casting Billy Bay Halo Shrimp. We caught our 20th trout to finish out our limit right at the edge of dark. Caught these on the falling tide. Throw the shrimp out there and let it settle to the bottom, twitch it a couple of times and wait for that tell-tale thump on the line. Man I love catching them casting artificial!! The fish are there..you just have to hunt for them. They are not as thick as they were a week ago. Another awesome trip with my dad. I hope to be back down soon, maybe around Christmas or hopefully sooner. I love it!!
