Report: November in St Simons was a super month for Trout/Reds.Water temperatures in the 60's proved to be a real turn on for the fish. But,December is starting off even better.Limits of Trout are being taken routinely, which in our area is 15 per person.Without a doubt, the fish are biting the artificials better than the live baits.Four inch Saltwater Assassins rigged with a 1/4oz lead head seem to be ideal.Simply cast and retrieve slowly. The fish are taking a variety of color patterns, including the Woodpecker/New Penny/Pinfish/and Silver Mullet. If you've never fished with artificials for Trout, your missing some great action. You can also suspend the baits under a popping cork and have good success. The fish were holding in 3-7ft of water.
