Report: The bass fishing around the Westerly reefs and Stonington breakwater has been fantastic on the outgoing. Fish are rolling during the incoming, but no takers. Had to wait for the storms to pass Sunday morning, but ventured out into the fog which cleared about noontime, same time as the tide started to go out. Marked fish down 15-40 feet and dropped 2 9’rs, 0ne at 15, another at 25 with downriggers. Both were hooked up immediately. 15 had 2 fish, one at 29 and one at 27. The 25 had 2 fish, one at 38 and one at 34. This kept up for the next 1 1/2 hour and we caught a total of 24 fish between shorts and keepers. About 3-1 keepers to shorts. Kept 4 fish for the table. Back at the dock cleaned the fish and they all had 2-3 whole bunker in their stomachs. No wonder the 9’ers worked so well. Captain Jim
