Submitted by Jim Balicki (ip 71.187.234.76)

  • Fished on 6/1/2009

    Water Temperature: .
Water Clarity: Fairly clear, but lots of floating weed (sea cabbage)
    Seas: choppy, bocoming light
Weather: Sunny, SE wind, becoming S.
    Fishing_for: Bluefish
    Boat: None, beach fishing
    captain: .

    Report:
Nice day, 30 bluefish caught, 2 kept. 8 on a Gator spoon, the rest on poppers. Many were under 20", but others ranged up to 26". Very few wading fishermen on the sandbar -- surprising. Lots of bay anchovies (rainfish) swimming close to shore. There were 2 short blitzes, hours apart, near the shoreline, away from the sandbar.
