Report: Just got this email from Capt. Kevin coming back from a 24 hr trip on the 55' Strike Zone Too: Capt. Gary
Here's the report from the trip.
We left at 2:00 PM after the Stress Management had returned from their trip to the mars area only to find fast moving green water. They had five Blackfin and a limit of Snapper.
We decided to head out to the green canyon area for some sights of blue water.
We came across a line about 35 miles from the canyon. We fished the line for about 15 min when we had a Marlin on. It was a small white Marlin. We released it to continue fishing and caught a 30 Lb Dolphin. We decided to head out further to fish for the night.
After cooking and relaxing for a moment we started jigging for black fin and they were there. We had continuous action with the Yellowfin busting the flyers. We pulled off the rig at 2:30 am to head back towards Venice. Total count 15 Yellowfin 60 to 100Lb 30 Blackfin in the 15 to 25 lb class.
Not A bad trip if you ask me.
Oh I forgot that we stopped and caught a limit of 5 to 10lb snapper on the way out to the canyon. Capt. Kevin
