Report:
Yesterday We took out The Mike leun charter consisting of 6 of NY's Finest. We headed out to the 25 fathom fingers south of Moriches and found plenty of life with whales and birds working over bait pods. tons of sand eeels in the water. water temp was 64-65. we set up our slick and had action with bluesharks from 150-200 lbs. which were tagged and released . we had a school of bluefish invade our slick. they caught over 25 gator blues which we recycled into live baits and fillets. at 11am the short 25' rod gets nailed. i set the hook and gave the rod to jack who did a great job fighting a 150 class mako. he almost had it within gaffing range when it spit the hook! bummer! They are out there! P.S. We have open dates this month if anyone is interested in joining us. tight lines! Capt.Dennis FAIR CHASE II WWW.HUNTFISHNY.COM 631-786-7871
