Report:
The fluke fishing this season has probably been the best I've ever experienced on the river. Light NW wind coupled with an ebbing tide produced optimum drifting conditions and the fluke did not disappoint us. We concentrated on one area of the river for today's trip that had to end early due to approaching T-storms. Jim started as he left off on Tuesday fishing a rig with a single killie, Tom did the same, and I fished my usual tandem shad darts tipped with a killie. Today it was Jim's turn to shine as he immediately started putting keepers in the box. We located a heavy concentration of fluke in one area and all three of us hooked up simultaneously on 3 consectutive drifts. We were soon "mugged" by other boats and had to look elsewhere. Again, we located a decent pod of fish only to attact company again. When we hit the dock @1:30 we had landed 78 fluke with 12 being keepers up to 21". Jim caught his limit of 6, Tom had 4, and I followed with 2 out of the 28 fluke that I boated. Tight Lines! TINKNOCKER
