Water Temperature: . Water Clarity: Murky with floating debris Seas: Flat Weather: Sunny, Hot & Humid with almost no wind Fishing_for: Fluke Boat: Snow Goose 2 captain: Kevin
Report:
Tried this small part boat for the first time. It is a comfortable boat to fish from and Captain Kevin and Mate Harry were pleasant and helpful - unfortunately the action was very slow. With 12 or so fishermen aboard only 10 Fluke were caught with just 2 being keepers. A couple of small blues and a few keeper porgies were also caught, along with an occasional sea robin. Perhaps the lack of wind, slow drift, and dirty water contributed to the poor fishing. It is also possible that Fluke Fishing on the Connecticut/Westchester County side of the Sound is just not very good and that it is a waste of time for Party Boats to primarily concentrate on that kind of fishing in that area.
