Report:
Boat is in the shop. Took the wife down to the South Island Ferry landing to fish into the night. Brought along bug spray, bug candles and a bug fan. Needed all three. Fished the end of the ebb and alittle into the flood. Caught 1 small red, a striper, some toadfish and lots of shrimp with the castnet. Brought home about 3 pounds for next time.

The waterway was full of manhaden; took 5-10 mins for a few of the schools to go by. Lots of dolphin herding them along. One big gater gave us a startle. Watched him for quite a while just easing along out near the middle.

Had a coon and stray cat come up begging for bait. They shared several shrimp, manhaden and mullet not 10 feet from where we sat under the street lights. They hissed alittle at each other but I think they were friends. At least they tolerated one another. Very cool.

Hope to get the boat going this weekend(gas leak) and want to maybe fish with my Dad on Sunday. He is retiring this Friday and needs some fish therapy......Heard the flounder were tearing it up at Cherry Grove inlet...
