Report:
Both people who were going to come with me today ended up backing out. I had a great day on the water though with the final count being seven redfish and two ladyfish on the fly. The redfish were between 19 and 25 inches. I caught the fish on mullet, crab and shrimp patterns. At low tide I ended up in a little creek in ten inches of water. A lot of the redfish ended up in the creek with me. Almost all of the fishing was sight casting at fish pushing water or fish with their backs out of the water. It is quite amazing to see such a remarkable sight.
Once the tide came in enough to get out of the creek I went to a spot in the river off Baldhead. I anchored there and chummed for tarpon during the last hours of the rising tide. Many small fish and sharks came into the chum line but no big sharks or tarpon.
