Report: Since this is the final weekend for fluke fishing here in New Jersey I decided to fish both the AM & PM trips today. The fishing today was about as good as in can be with the fish co-operating from start to finish. All of today's action was centered on 1 channel edge in the center of the bay as the lack of drift early on kept us right on top of the fish for the entire morning trip. The afternoon trip was just as good but with the west wind some additional boat handling was required to keep us on the target. My first fish of the day and for the boat weighed 5.25lbs and was the eventual pool winner for the AM trip. The first fish caught in the afternoon weighed 8lbs and was caught by a fisherman just to my left. It also was the eventual pool fish for the afternoon. My total catch was over 70 fluke for the day with 16 of those being keepers. Spro bucktails tipped with Gulp provided most of my fish except for a handful I landed in the afternoon on a few live peanuts that I was able to castnet early in the AM. The fish are stacked at the mouth of the bay and will soon exit, so now is the time to get your last licks in. This coming Friday it all ends, way too soon. Tight Lines! TINKNOCKER
