Report: Had my wife Anita on board today. We met my Dad who was test driving his most recent boat remodel. This one is a keeper. 17' Boston Whaler completely redone inside and out. Knock your eyes on pretty.
Anita and I caught our bait and headed out to one of the big creeks running into the grass. Found a good bend with structure and anchored up. First cast into the hole got a 21" Red. As I took this fish off and measured Anita has another on. This is the way the next two hours went. I was able to catch a few when I had time to cast. The wife was waylaying a Red on almost every cast. As the tide reached it's high we ran out of mullet. I put on a berkey gulp shrimp and caught several more before they petered out.
We ended up with our limit of six. Two were 22", Three were 20" and 1 19". Threw back over 30 reds, many in the slot.
Called Dad who took his time getting there and only managed one 20" red and one 3 lb flounder. He also had two large fish get hung in the structure and break him off.
Great day on the water.....Give me a call or email to get in on this super action. It only gets better from now until December...
