Report:
Jason & I just wanted to get out on the water this afternoon. Bay was pretty bumpy with a hard east wind at a steady 25. 90% of those on board today we using rental rods and I guess a few didn't have their sea legs as they went down for the count early on.Started off drifting worms at the top of the Reach. A painful slow pick of perhaps 6-8 keeper weakfish (don't get excited they were only 13-14"s) plus 2-3 short weakies. I was fortunate enough to get one of those keepers. Finished the day in Sandy Hook Bay looking for the cocktail blues Robbie has yesterday. Did find some scattered bird life but with so many rental rods out, instead of jigging he opted to use spearing. Jason & I did attempt to jig but to no avail. There were perhaps a dozen fluke (all shorts) caught & released. My weakie was an ounce or 2 shy of the pool.
