# 58074: Subject: Rodanthe Pier, North Carolina
Submitted by Gerry, BFHP - Fished on 9/14/2009
- Report received: 9/15/2009
Water Temperature: 77 Water Clarity: 2-3 ft Seas: 1-3 ft Weather: Clear with a slight offshore (West) wind. Fishing_for: . Boat: . captain: .
Report: The surf is coming alive with spanish mackeral, bluefish, and puppy drum.
The blues and puppy drum seem to be active in the holes near low tide. The area right around Rodanthe Pier has been very productive for both.
The spanish are in the rips or working the schools of bait fish heading south for the winter. Small sting silvers work well for them.
