Report:
I fished by myself from the last of the falling tide to the mid point of the rising tide. Caught three redfish sight fishing around the low tide. The largest was 28 inches and without any spots. It was caught on a crab fly and ran off about 50 yards of backing before it stopped running. I then picked up a friend at the boat ramp who waded the high tide on the grass flats with me. Wading in the grass the wind picked up to around 15 knots. This always seems to limit the number of redfish tailing. Saw one tailing redfish and one tailing sheepshead. A good presentation could not be made to either fish. I heard some other fly rodders found a spot out of the wind on the high tide and saw about twenty tailing redfish. That was a great decision and an option that I will remember.
