Report: Jason & I hopped on the C*ck Robin today with high hopes of battling some bluefish and hopefully some false albacore & bonito. After a 2 hour ride north to the Mud Dump (in the face of a brisk NNW wind which made for allot of spray in the bow), we finally dropped anchor. At first it was all sea bass to hit the jigs. Jason had 1 short and I had 3 with 1 being a nice size keeper. With no bluefish we made a short wiggle and eventually the bluefish appeared in our slick. Although never a full out bite a steady pick developed. Unfortunately it wasn't Jason's or mine day. Jason failed to get a single bite/run-off. I did slightly better with only one bite that I was able to land. I'd estimate maybe 24-30 bluefish for the boat with 0 albies or bonito.
