    Boat: 18-ft Parker CC
    captain: Rodney

    Report:
Started in the AM out of GK. Large fleet in the middle of the bay, and lots of birdplay at times. Rodney managed to land 3 bluefish on a flyrod. I landed 7 on metal -- a 1.5oz gator spoon. Good thing that I brought 3 Gators as the 1st 2 were eventually bitten off. Later in the PM we had 2 more hits. Rodney got 1 in the boat on a light spinning rod trolling a weightless swimming plug. While he was working that one in, I hooked one a retrieved Gator spoon, but that last one eventually came unbuttoned. When the birdplay ceased in the early PM, we tried Storm shads near the GK shoreline. No bluefish hits on the Storms, but 3 fluke up to 17-1/2". Of course the fluke were immediately released. And we also released all but one of the bluefish that ranged up to 10#. Radio chatter indicated that action at the Shrewsbury Rocks and the Mud Dump was poor. About mid-morning we saw more partyboats join the fleet. That included the Miss Belmar Princess from Belmar and the Sea Hunter from AH as well as 3 NY boats, the Brooklyn VII, the Blue Seas V, and the Flamingo III.
