    Report:
Started by checking Raritan Bay in the Port Monmouth area. It looked lifeless. So on to Sandy Hook. I arrived apparently just as the bluefish blitz ceased. However blind casting w/ a 1-1/2oz Gator spoon resulted in 6 hookups, w/ 5 fish landed. 6# to 12# bluefish, spitting up peanut bunker. As the action tapered off, I returned to the car to get my bait (bunker) and the bait rod. There were 4 hookups on the bait rod w/ 2 fish landed. In between hookups on the bait rod, I threw the Gator spoon, w/ the lure rod, but there were no more hits.
