Report:
Made the hike to the rip on Oct 15 and Oct 16 in noreaster conditions.

Oct 15 8am - 12pm: There were a few fisherman at the rip. As well as Birds, Birds, Birds. They were working off of the beach about 200 yds and every so often they pushed bait close to casting range. Big gator blues were being landed regularly on a dropping tide and in rain and wind. I landed 5 blues, none smaller than 10 lbs. Also landed one 27" striper with a belly full. All caught on top water plugs. Saw one keeper leave the beach. Nice fish.

Oct 16 8am - 1:30pm: I was the only one at the rip. One other fisherman showed up but left after an hour. He saw me land my 2 fish of the day. One gator blue that broke a hook off of my swimmer and a 26" fat striper caught on the repaired swimmer. Both fish were hooked in the wash. Nothing else afterwards. Birds were working far out by the buoys but never came in close.
