    Report:
Arrived at the beach shortly after 1PM. No visible bait, nor working birds; that continued all the way to the False Point. Word was a few small blues were caught in the early AM. Not expecting much, I walked N to the False Point. Just before reaching the actual point, I started casting metal, with the incoming tide generating a nice right-to-left current. After a few minutes of casting. a 9# bluefish smacked my metal lure. Many casts later, a 3-pounder hit. A rather long lull developed, and putting the bag on my shoulder, I started working N. Soon after, an 8-pounder hit the metal, close in. Eventually I moved around the point where the casts were longer with the offshore wind. But I had no further hits, and saw only 1 small bluefish caught by another fisherman. BTW, all 3 of my bluefish were released.
