Report: We spent the majority of the trip fishing jigs between the channels. The stripers and large bluefish were active all day feeding on the abundant sand eels. We tried an area just to the east of Ambrose Channel in the early afternoon, but soon returned to our previous locale as the bass and blues to the east were feeding on small rainfish and didn't respond well to our offerings. The bluefish were all large 'Gators' and the bass ranged from shorts to @ 35". The boat managed @ 23 keepers along with many shorts as we left them biting at the end of the trip. I totaled numerous bluefish and 9 bass of which 3 were keepers up to the 17# pool fish. Tight Lines! TINKNOCKER
