Report: Excellent fishing, would be the best way to describe todays trip. We fished between the channels for the entire trip which at one time during the day included 75 other boats. Sandeels appeared to be the primary forage in the area, as the day started with a hot bite of all bass. Many of the bass were keepers as we jigged on readings. As the action slowed it eventually turned into primarily bluefish. Our last 2 drifts in the afternoon were about as hectic as it can get with large bluefish hitting the jigs with reckless abandon. Today's catch was topped by a striper of 23.7lbs. I fished with my friend Tom today as we combined for 7 keeper sized bass out of @24 stripers and an equal number of large bluefish. My largest bass weighed 15.5 lbs.on the digital scale.Tight Lines! TINKNOCKER
