Report: The cold water has really turned on the spiney dogfish. If you want to break you kid into surf fishing this is probably an excellent time to do it. Virtually, every cast is getting a dogfish -- lots of fast action. There were only 2times I didn't get a dogfish, one got a 2 lb bluefish and the other was a small reef shark.
