Report: Today it was just Jim and I as Tom had a previous engagement. Knowing the stage of the tide, wind direction, and some knowledge of the river helped us start catching fluke immediately this morning. The early morning action on the last of the flood was sensational as we boxed 8 keepers while throwing back numerous shorts in the 1st 2 hours of fishing. When the tide changed the fish shut down and we began a slow pick until later in the afternoon when the fish decided to chew again. Shad darts tipped with Gulp ( the fluke are chowing down on grass shrimp) was my lure of choice while Jim favored his bucktail/Gulp combo rig tipped with killies from time to time. We caught in excess of 70 fluke today and easily limited out, keeping 12 from the 17 keepers we landed. Tight Lines! TINKNOCKER
