Report:
Tom and I had freshwater fishing Ace Gene with us this morning for some very windy fishing. NW wind was strong enough to keep us very close to the Atlantic Highlands harbor breakwater. Persistence paid off under some terrible fishing conditions, as this was Gene's first trip on saltwater. The Fluke were cooperating as I brought in the pool fish of 20½", Tom and Gene landed two each up to 20". We were glad to have the breakwater for cover, although we did venture out into the bay making long drifts and slow returns. There were only a couple of Sea Robins, which Tom quickly turned into bait, and no Bluefish. Nice day on water despite the wind and rough water had us returning to our slip by noon. Pete
