Report: Today I was joined by Jim and after yesterday's lack of fish, we opted to fish the Navesink instead. We began catching fluke from the very beginning and continued to do so throughout the day with the action ranging from a slow pick to drop-n-reel. Today we caught @100 fluke with only 1 20" fish going into the box. The last hour of the flood was great action as just about every cast resulted in a fish, some of which fell just short. Bucktails, shad darts, & Gulp produced all of the action.
On a side note: The boat traffic in the river from late morning on was the worst I've ever encountered as the boats headed west towards Red Bank for the fireworks this evening. I'm sure that the traffic and tempers will be worst later tonight as they all try to leave at once.
Tight Lines! TINKNOCKER
