Report:
Jason and I were 2 of the 35+ fares aboard the Misty Morn last night. Ran into Jim B. and had the pleasure of fishing next to him all night.
Started off fishing the back end of the Reach. I was able to bucktail up a keeper almost immediately, in addition to 1 or 2 shorts coming up around the boat we didn't stay here long because conditions weren't not great. Moved to the east and spent the rest of the trip fishing various pieces of structure and rough bottom spots. Fishing for the most part was slow. Although there were a few nice fish taken, (#4.5, 5 and a pool winning 7), the fluke were just not biting as they have been. Even the number of short fluke caught was low. I bucktailed (was even able to easily hold with a 1 ounce until the wind picked up) most of the trip but did change to dragging bait for a while.
@ 13 or 14 keepers for the large crowd. Jason & I each had 1. High hook had 4.
