Report:
Another good Sunday night crowd. Had out going water and a west wind for most of the night. Conditions were such that the drift was just at the upper of limit of what I consider good for bucktailing.
Spent the first part of the trip fishing rough bottom and structure in the middle of the bay. Action wasn't fast but a slow pick developed. I fished the same Spro/GULP shrimp teaser right most of the night. Jason dragged bait on a plain right using double spearing. He put the first fish of the night into the a boat a keeper just at 18". my rig was drawing action but not as fast as in a few weeks ago. Made a few wiggles in the same area with basically the same results, a decent pick of shorts with a 1-2 keepers.
Ended the night by fishing the flats adjacent to the channel (same level of action). I ended up with 12 (all shorts, my first trip in 2010 without a keeper) while Jason had 9 and 2 keepers. 13 keepers on the boat. High hook was 3. Pool tied at #3.5.
