Report: Jim and I returned to the mouth of the Shrewsbury hoping that the cownosed rays from last Saturday had moved on. With a SW wind and a rising tide the drift was perfect as we began catching fluke almost immediately upon our arrival. Subsequent drifts throughout the morning all produced fluke, but most were of the short variety. Our confidence grew with each drift as there was no sign of the bothersome rays. The morning drifts were fine until early afternoon when the tide switched and the wind increased leaving us with poor drifting conditions. Don't get me wrong we drifted, but not the way we wanted. We ended our day mid-afternoon with 3 keepers in the box culled from 65 to 70 fluke. As usual, bucktails and Gulp was the bait of choice. Tight Lines! TINKNOCKER
