Report:
While waiting for Hurricane Earl to arrive, Tom and I were out in the Roosters looking for Fluke. Heading out from Atlantic Highlands Marina and across the flat bay to the TC buoy In Sandy Hook Channel we started a drift only to be chased off by a Naval ship entering Terminal Channel, no fish here anyway. Out to the ocean near North Beach only short Fluke caught. The ocean being flat calm we made a run to Gunnison Beach where Tom and I each put an 18¼" Fluke in the cooler as the tide just started in. I lost one keeper as I was handling it to measure as it gave a kick and dropped back into the water. Two keepers for the last Fluke trip this season. Pete
