Took a neighbor out fishing out past the boat cut in the North Jetty on the Bolivar side of the jetty. We pulled up about 30 yards from the rocks and started fishing around 9:00am. We were in about 10' of nice clear green water. We started hooking up almost immediately, but the 20 lb mono leader we were using under the popping corks was getting cut off. We switched to wire leaders under corks and started reeling in Spanish Mackerel up to 24 inches. By about 11:15 the bite was over. We ended up keeping 7 Spanish Mackerel and 1 Speckled Trout.
Fun morning fishing. LOT'S OF BOAT TRAFFIC!
