Report:
This morning, the Manasquan River offered quality versus quantity in that I was able to box a 4 pounder and a 5-pounder. Not bad for river fluke. Most of our fluke came on Gulp teasers but all of the keepers came from using a Wonder Rig with JUMBO killies. Thank goodness that the Lord opted to make large killes as medium killies only produced short fluke. There was a sizeable difference in the water temps from when we started to when we ended the trip. It's somewhat of a mystery why boaters go blasting by me as they head to the ocean to catch sea robin when we're catching decent fluke in the river.
Tomorrow night, we're having a "Jersey Fresh" meal including fresh fluke, fresh Jersey corn, fresh Jersey tomatoes, fresh cole slaw, and fresh Jersey peppers....should be good!!
