    Report:
Our last couple of trips fishing the mouth of the river have been less than stellar. At this time of year the area is usually teeming with fluke, but this year is an exception. The "Dead Sea" would best describe this section of the bay with a scattering of fish at the very best. Last Saturday the conditions were extremely poor with the stronger than predicted easterly winds, so our catch of 18 short fluke may or may not have been indicative of the residing fluke population. However, yesterday the drifting conditions were perfect (although the water clarity was poor)and the fish just aren't there. We did manage to land 2 nice keepers of 3.0 lbs. & 3.50 lbs. out of the 15 fluke we caught that had forgot to leave with the majority of the population. There still will probably be a few stragglers left in the area, but the warm waters we've had this entire season seem to have sparked an early exodus. Tight Lines! TINKNOCKER
