Report: This morning there was a lighter crowd than yesterday as we fished the same general areas as we did yesterday. Today's early drifts were a little faster with the brisk SW wind, but the wind did ease up slightly as the morning wore on. My first cast of the day yielded a 19" fluke on the Gulp tipped Spro. I added a couple of shorts and 1 more keeper of 4 lbs to my tally for the trip. The 4 lb. fish, as was the case yesterday, held on to be the eventual pool winner. Based upon what I have observed over the last 2 days, it would appear that the overall majority of fluke have left the bay and moved offshore. There will be occasional spurts of activity and we will probably jig a lost fluke in November while bass fishing, but aside from this the 2012 fluke run in the bay is history. If you still would like to fish for fluke in any numbers it will have to be on a boat fishing the offshore areas. Tight Lines! TINKNOCKER
