Water Temperature: 45^-46^
Water Clarity: Clear
Seas: Flood/Ebb Tide
Weather: Overcast
Fishing_for: Blackfish
Boat: None
captain: N/a

The daybreak bite @6:30 was immediate this morning as my first offering of the day got slammed by a chunky tog that was just short of the mark. A few additional tog were landed during the next 20 minutes and the bite along the wall ceased. The water was clear but the water temperature is at a point where it deters the bite. I fished through the remaing hour of the flood and into the first 3 hours of the ebb. During the ebb I fished a bait rig. The bites were not the instantaneous hits that we usually experience, but rather letting the bait sit for a few minutes befor a bite would develope. Today's tally would be 23 tog without a keeper among them. I will try one more time on Sunday morning when there will be a little more of the flood to fish. Last year I was able to stretch my season in the canal to the end of December due to warmer water temps. It appears that that will not be the case this year. Tight lines! TINKNOCKER
