Our first stop was off Mantaloking. If you weren't throwing swim shads at this first stop, you were not catching bass. If you were tossing shads, you were catching slot bass. Most anglers caught at least one...all on white 5-inch shads. The bass and some blues were spitting up peanut bunker. The rest of the days was a pick of slot bass and a few legal bass legal bass. The high hook boated (11) bass. The biggest bass for the (15 anglers) was a 25 pound bass.
I guess I will make several of Bev's striped bass cakes tomorrow night. It was a good day on the water.
