Report:
Yesterday, an evening bite materialized in one small area at a time. I did not get a hit, but saw bluefish caught by fishermen who could throw the lure a country mile. Today, the late afternoon/evening bite was poor for most fishermen, but I caught 2. The 1st, a 29" on a 2oz gold spoon. The 2nd, a real monster on a large bottle-nose popper. My folding ruler was not available, but using my wader boots, the approximate length was 42"!!! Probably my largest bluefish ever.
