Jim and I began our fluke season today fishing the Navesink with many other boats. The water was on the cool side and somewhat discolored from Thursday's rain and wind. The bite was definately off today as we searched several of our favorite areas of the river for fluke. Today, a slow presentation was what was required to entice a bite from the fish. The end result was 2 keepers of 18.5" and 20" out of the 27 fluke that we landed, while several others became unbuttoned short of the net. Jim also managed to land 3 bluefish on his fluke rig. Tight Lines! TINKNOCKER
