Today first Fluke trip of the season. Headed out with dense fog from our slip at Atlantic Highlands Harbor, made a stop at the East end of the breakwater. Within a minute of dropping lines Tom comes up with a 18 1/2” keeper Fluke. I thought this is going to be a great day catching (NOT).Our friend the pinhooker stopped by and gave us the low down on all the great catching he has been doing here and up the Navesink, best year in a long time he said.Tom and I moved out to Officer’s Row, here water was dirty and no fish, not even a Sea Robin. Then joined the fleet near Sandy Hook Channel when the fog lifted to reveal many boats not catching. Back to the harbor before noon with the one keeper Fluke. Pete
