Arrived around 10:00am and fished low tide to high then halfway back to low. It's been close to 20 years since I last fished Beach C and with both North Beach and E closed, I figured I'd give it a shot. 3 stripers caught with clams on hi-lo rig with 4 oz pyramid sinker: 20", 34" (both released) and one lost in the wash which was a decent size. The 34" ripped my rod out of the spike during the two seconds I looked away. 2 short fluke around 12"-14" caught with killies on plain hi-lo rigs. All action was during the low to high tide ebb. Tried bucktailing but the strong S to N current required too much weight for it to be effective. Threw an A17 lure with a green tail a bit with no strikes. As much as I am missing North Beach, I do not miss that hike.
